Saitek pro yoke system usb problem

Postby zeberdee » Sun Jun 14, 2009 3:22 pm

Hi all, I have had the pro yoke system with rudder pedals (when they work they are good) for about a year. The problem I am having is with usb conection to my computer, it keeps "loosing" the conection (turns its self on and off) I then unplug the yoke, plug it back in some times three or four times before it works long enough to fly, then it starts again. I have tried the usb ports at the back of the computer and it is the same. I have only used it a handfull of times because of this. Other usb devices work fine without problem in the same usb ports. My CH pro yoke and rudder pedals work fine, it's just the Saitek system thats a problem. Many thanks in advance, Chris

I take it that you are using the yoke usb to run the pedals as well?

If you are then run the pedals directly to the computer ports and see if you get an improvement. I am assuming you have the throttle quadrant also. Disconnect the throttle quadrant also to see if there is a change. Basically isolate each item to see which one is giving a problem because what you are describing is a controller fault and you need to find which one is the problem.

Is there a warranty still covering the items? Do you have a good 'puter shop that you can use to check this out?

Hi thanks for the ideas, I think they are out of warranty.I will try unpluging the throttle quadrant and rudder pedals. That would point to it overloading the usb connection, I hope this works as when they work they are good.
