Adapter?

I recently inherited a set of flight controls from a relative.

It is a boxed set of rudder pedals, throttle, and stick, and came with a program called Flight Unlimited III.

I can't get the program to install as I think it's for a much older system, but I would still like to use the controls.

The problem there is their connection method,  I assume it used to be the industry standard hook up at the time, but it's before my time.

Do they make an adapter to go from this older style controller connection to a USB port, or should I just forget it now and buy something a little more modern?

It looks really nice, and has VERY little use. It would be a shame to have to toss them away, and I don't see my self  downgrading to an older system to use them.

Most decent computer stores will do suitable adapters. Can you post a photo of the connectors and we might be able to help some more

Most of the older Joysticks, etc, used a "D Plug" which plugged into a D Socket in the rear of the Sound Card...(Game Port).

I retain my Creative Labs PCI Sound Card for that purpose.

I have various Joysticks and Joypads with a D Plug.

P.S. You could purchase a cheap Sound Card with a Game Port for the purpose.

Sorry for the blur, too much coffee this morning and I can't keep my hands from shaking.  ;D

The package is called the Thrustmaster Flight System.

This is the male & female connection.  All the components hook to each other, and then a main cable hooks to the system.

Nope....I use Asio4all Sound Drivers for my Creative Labs Live! 1024 Sound Card*....cures Latency Problems... ....(but not "Waterworks" problems... ...).... ...!

MIDI In+Out 5-pin DIN Sockets to 15 Pin D Plug.
