Hey
My bro has a ASUS P5K DELUXE and an 8800GTX powered by a Corsair HX620. He tried it with a Thermaltake PSU too. At the moment the computer powers OFF, it lets out a single, loud, high pitched beep, that lasts for about a second. It is definitely the videocard. If we turn the computer on, then restart it (as opposes to shutdown), no beep occurs. It's unrelated to anything to do with normal POST beep. This is from the videocard and happens when the rig is powered down.
We tried taking out the dual PCI-E connectors, the videocard makes the same beep constantly. So I presume it is a power issue. Strange, because it is 100% stable in applications such as FURMARK. I was thinking that it was just a small querk with the P5K where there was enough charge left over to cause it to beep for a second.
Any ideas?
