New PSU.

Okay, i need a new PSU, Mine now is ?W I think about 450-350W :-/
12V is 15A 20Pin MB power thingy, my MB needs a 24pin .

I can't spend more that $50 AUD (I know), I was thinking about a 720W SHAW Dual Fan($28) *Anyone know their site?*. I have read that Shaw sucks. Opinions?

I have to get from a shop in Aussie. Opinions on this: A-Power B.L Dual Fan 720W ($42) Looks better than an SHAW.

Any Ideas on a good budget PSU above 500W?

I know it is double your budget but a underpowered system can give you more problems than you can imagine. I would save a little more not to mention that PSU would hold you over for a very long time. I have no experience with the Shaw so I cant help you there.

I won't go less that around $100~$125AUD on a PSU. In PSU's you really get what you pay for. If you go for a cheap one you'll find it's quality to be far less than a more expensive one. I learned this the hard way. Also try to get one that has one 12V rail, usually less provides cleaner, better power to the components.

How about an Asus or Thermaltake PSU?

I can get a good one at 550W for about $80 :-/

Would that be enough to power my system, I think it would be if i can play Crysis Warhead on Just about Maxed With my Current psu

Sure it would now, but if you have any plans on upgrading later you will need to buy another one that is bigger. It would save you alot to spend a extra 50 bucks. I do understand budgets though and do know where you are comming from. Power PC and cooling does offer a 500w and I think a 610 w that would run about 69.00 smacks. They are really well made PSU's, have a 5 year warranty, and a single 12v vrail which in my opinion is important. I think PSU's are under estimated in their importance in a system.
