Looking for a decent mobo

Postby coolpick » Tue Dec 09, 2008 11:01 am

Hey, I know absolutely nothing about mobos so I need some help. I plan on getting something like a Q6600 with a HD4850 or a 9800GTX, somewhere around those lines. And I'll be getting 4GB Ram.

I am just looking for something that is decent priced, Once I build this I wont be doing any upgrading, and I dont plan on O'C the processor, if I do it wont be much(maybe 2.6-2.8) and I'll have someone else do it.

Oh and if you have any pointers for building a decent FSX rig please tell me. I'm looking to build a rig for about 1,100-1,300US. And thats with everything(OS, monitor), I have a laptop and this will be my first desktop, so I have none of that stuff.

Thanks

Yes, that will clock

but no more than 405MHz and you wont be able to run a Q9650 processor @ 4GHz with it if you ever decided to upgrade the proc later

but I do know you can clock to about 405Mhz with that board so it will run a Q6600 at its top end
