I'd scratch the SLi setup for FSX, no effect.

Get faster 1066 RAM.
This Corsair or this cheaper G.Skill.

And go for at least a cheap Q6600, which can be easily clocked to 3.2... faster than the E8400 above, and much more suitable for FSX.
