sound issue

Hi to all!

There is a problem with my sound card. green sound jack give very minimal sound. or no sound..it is realtek AC97 sound card 5.1built in...in nforce 4 main board...it was working fine since 1 year. i already had updated my driver. but nothing happend...can u give me a software name which changes the audio jack configuration....mic jack work as green jack...plz help

try checking the speakers they might be a bit faulty but the jack might be dirty, i have that sound driver and i have no problems, also check the control panel for windows and the driver ;)

Have you checked the sound properties in Windows? Sometimes the audio output level will get turned down.

Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio devices > Device Volume > Advanced >

Make sure the Sliders are maxed (as required), and that none of the "Mute" boxes are ticked...;)...!
