Should I RMA?

Postby AMDDDA » Thu Jul 17, 2008 5:22 pm

Well, I have a 8600 GTS right now and will be upgrading, but I also have a spare comp that will be using it, however, there's a problem I believe.

On tomshardware, it showed that OVERCLOCKED editions of the 8600 GTS only hit 65 degrees C under load, mine idles at 60 degrees C.

Under load, I have hit 84 degrees Celcius.

I am also now starting to get a lot of artifacts during some of the games I play (UT3, World in Conflict, AoC).

Should I RMA it back to Dell? There's still a warranty in place.

It could be something to think about.

Artifacts and a large amount of heat cannot be good.

Alright, I need someone to do a lot of digging:

I need a Dell RMA form ;;.

I can also go on the nVidia forums and see if they'll help, as this card was manufactured by them.

But it was bought with a dell PC
