I've got a dual core 64+4400, same graphics card and 2GB RAM and I can get a constant 25fps out of FS9.  I have no airport add ons but do have GE, FE, FS Global, FS Traffic 2005 plus 2 add on packs and Active Sky6.

Personally, if was was going to change anything, I'd change the CPU and see how it went.

Strange amount of RAM you have there, could you explain more?

He probably has 2Gb of RAM but 256Mb is stolen from the system by his graphics card "turbocache"; 2048 - 256 = 1792.

To answer BLACKSMITH2's question, I'd firstly take a look at NickN's XP tweaks here:

They don't cost a penny and work wonders

NVIDIA GeFORCE 7600GT.

I'm looking for a Graphics card upgrade  that would work exceptionally well with the above setup at full FS2004 display settings without stuttering and very fast frame rates 30+ constantly (especially with add-ons). Could anyone recommend any?. Please

With that specification, (AMD Athlon 3200+MMX 3D Now, the fastest Processor for a Socket A Motherboard with a FSB of 400!), it looks as though the Motherboard is also fitted with an AGP Graphics Card Slot?

What you have there should run FS 2004 admirably...;)...!

Paul...Socket A, AMD 2600+ MMX 3D Now, 266 FSB, nVidia 7800GS 256MB AGP Card. 2.3 GB Memory....
...runs FS 2004 a treat!... ;)...!
Win 8.1 64-bit. DX11. Advent Tower. Intel i7-3770 3.9 GHz 8-core. 8 GB System RAM. AMD Radeon HD 7700 1GB RAM. DVD ROM. 2 Terra Byte SATA Hard Drive. Philips 17" LCD Monitor. Saitek Cyborg X Fly-5 Joystick. ...and a Briggs and Stratton Petrol Lawn Mower.

Don't forget your 7800 is/was one of the fastest AGP cards available Paul, the 7600 doesn't even compare  ;)

...the suggestion was also to fit a faster Processor, Rob, but if that Motherboard is a "Socket A" Motherboard (like mine), the Processor he has is the fastest available for Socket A.

A Faster Processor and Graphics Card for me would involve a complete rebuild, with new everything!.. :'(...!

The 7600 is certainly faster than the 6600 AGP  I had before my 7800GS AGP!

Paul...My FSX is unplayable with my present set-up....but FS 2004 runs like a dream!
