Explain to me plz

Hello, I have a EVGA 7950gt oc 256, in the box says that the core is at 650 mhz, and the memory at 1400 mhz.
Ok i have GPU Z and he says core 565, and memory 715.
Am i wrong or the card is wrong or i don't know how to read the data

This query has come up before, and I am pretty sure that your GPU Z is reading the details correctly.....!

565/715...as supplied standard.

My 7800 GS AGP card has similar readings, and is fine, left as standard.
Mess with it at your peril... ...!

The Memory speed means different things to different people, (manufacturers, etc), depending upon how you interpret the readings.

The lower indicated Memory speed is correct......!

So that mean those values 650/1400 are just for what to foul us, or its how far you can go. If not why they say it.
Many thanks for the reply, but i think i need to take the card to the vendor and %^@#^#$^@#^#@% with him?

And if it is the OC ( over clocked) so that means that the core is what  :o 350/ 300, without the factory OC?

1400 is the speed measured by 2 cycles (I think) of the card, meaning the true speed is somewhere around 700, but the "2 Cycle speed" is 1400.... someone please correct if I am wrong

Close enough. If the card in question uses DDR (Dual Data Rate) memory, then that's about right. 700Mhz yields an EFFECTIVE memory clock of 1400Mhz.
