Or NTune is lying about my temperatures.

No overclocking has been done and in the system bios the CPU mesues around 30 degrees c.

I'm not fami;iar with that nTune display as I don't use it but
if you are running a Q6600 G0 CPU, then 30C is normal for
a no load, browser only environment. ( Just judging by the
CPU speed and bus speeds shown )

Mine idles at around there and maxes out at around 50C in FSX
and  55C running Prime95., and I have it overclocked to 3.2Ghz.

In any case, a Q6600 will  shut itself down if it senses dangerously
high temps.

Intel specs the Q6600 G0 Tj MAX at 71C and I believe it shuts
down aroun 90-95C.

Get Everest and\or Speedfan to check your temps.

Hi Paul,

What heatsink are you using or do you have water cooling? If it's just the stock heatsink those temps are pretty cool! (Excuse pun!)

The northbridge temperature reading is obviously wrong.
The GPU temperature looks normal to me, not optimal but normal. My GPU used to run at an average 45 C when idle; ever since I've been using RivaTuner to slow the fan down (it's very noisy) it has settled at about 47-49 C when idle. It goes above 60 C when I am using DirectX games.

I'm using a Rosewill RCX-Z775-EX on the CPU.

I have a GIGABYTE GA-P35C-DS3R motherboard with 4GB DDR2
and running XP Pro. 8800GTS 640MB video.
