Hard Drive help

I got my new pc  :), my old one is dead  :(, think the motherboard has packed up.
I need the information on the harddrive (lots of plane addons, music etc.  :D), is it possible to add that harddrive from my old pc into my new one. New one is vista 64bit, the old one is xp sp2 32bit. If so how? considering they are different o/s. any help/addvice would be most appreciated.
