It's not much, but will it run...?

I'm wanting to get this computer because it is the only thing in my budget.

Vista (32bit) Home premium
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ at 2.4 Ghz
2Gbs of DDR2 RAM
128Mb nVidia GeForce 8300GS
250Gbs HD
17 in. HP Monitor 1440 X 900 @ 60Hz

Will that Monitor support the graphics card? Will that system run FS9 well? It's $800 but $860 w/ tax

Or this one for $610 with tax but no monitor (or maybe one similar to the one above.

I like the above one better, but it's not in my price range. They would both be in the same price range if the one below had a monitor...what should I do? I'm thinking of just waiting until they have a computer bundle on sale and buy it then or maybe just wait and save up my money for a better computer...

Both PCs are fine, expect the graphics card. Those cards are really low level. You are going to need a better one - I'm not great at advising which, I'd wait for someone like Nick to come along and recommend one

New graphics card is not in the budget. I found the system I need. But, quick question, is the ATI Radeon 64Mb 7000 series a good card? My grandpa got it for me but we don't want to install it on our older systems and decided to wait until we got a new one. Is it better or worse than the nvidia 6150?

It's worse.. a lot worse. Even though the 6150 is onboard via the chipset the 7000 is REALLY old tech.

Even so, both are no good when it comes to gaming, apart from Windows Solitaire.

Edit: Never mind. I'm sticking with the 6150 until next year.

I'm getting a small monitor for my mom's XP system and she's given me her large monitor.  8-) She hates her big monitor because it stretches out XP. But I've seen this monitor run Vista and it looks great  :D.
