Dual Monitors Undock View Question

I had played with this before and use to be able to use them all the time. I have completely forgotton how to get the view to undock in FS9. When I do regular windows stuff both monitors do whatever I want. When I'm in FS9 I can get the secondary view of my choice to pop up but it won't let me undock it and move it to the other monitor. Any advice? Did I miss a step? Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Alt+Enter to take you into Windowed Mode
then
Alt -> V -> U
