Alex, if you can get a proper case fan or two, you might try something like what I have done......if you have trouble understanding how I did it, drop me a PM and I'll go over it in better detail for you.......
I have two extra fans installed......on the front at the bottom, I added one fan and opened up some more holes for airflow into the case (the outer plastic grill) and snipped away all the metal inside the fan area (inside the mounting bolt holes) on the main housing.....this one was my supplementary intake air......low to the floor - cooler air ........
For the exhaust air, I have the standard rear fan which is situated between the vid card and the power supply. Adding to the heat removal, I opened a hole in the top of the case, halfway between the power supply and the CD-DVD drive bay (this is the hottest area in the case with the air having no-where to go) ......I then made up a duct to expel the warm air towards the back of the case ........this warm air is rising already and won't interfere or be re-introduced to the case intake in any way........these two additions, along with ensuring that both sides are sealed to the case keep my temps in a very favourable range.......actually, if I take off the side of the case the temps rise.......I have to force the air past the components to pickup and carry away heat........in my most intensive graphic gaming, only my vid card runs warm, but I think its a normal function of the 6800 series.......no probs on it though.
The basic thoery here is the same as I use on my model aircraft when using a cowled engine - intake air in this size hole
