If you plan on curbing spending, spend a but extra money on the E6700 and do not waste it on the E6600. :)
The E6600 is a glorified E6400 and I do not care how high you clock it, other than synthetic benchmarks you wont out do a 6700 unless you are on a pelt, the FSB and memory bus can hit an outrageous number and also remain in a 1:1 ratio with the CPU.

Well right now the E6600 is in the rig due to budgeting, but after the Intel Price drops, the E6700 is going to be the processor of choice.
