HP Photosmart P1100

Postby martianfrogz » Sun Mar 04, 2007 8:22 pm

Hey guys, see if you can help me with this- every time I start it up to print something (in color), I have to clean the print cartridges to get a clear picture. If I don't, the picture will have white streaks through it (straight lines). My color cartridge has about 85% left. Can you tell me how to fix it so that I won't have to clean the cartridges before I print color stuff?

if your willing, to, you need to go into the machine and clear out the cleaning station. this is my career, and it sounds to me that the cleaning station is full. i'd reccomend taking it into an "office Machine" repair shop to get it cleaned, since we have the right tools.

if your going DIY, i'll give you some tips

>all screws on an HP printer are either a #2 philips or a #1 Torq.
>the cleaning station is on the right.
>GET SOME RUBBER GLOVES
>don't break the plastic.

the other problem could be somehing damaging your ink cartridge print heads. those big rollers right before the inks, check that area for pieces of plastic, paper, and such. DO NOT TOUCH OR CLEAN THE PRINT HEADS!! or find yourself buying new cartridges.
