NEED HELP! X52 MAGIC DRIVERS!!

Postby Bad_at_FS » Sat Dec 30, 2006 5:55 pm

Ok, I've installed my SST software, and now I'm getting the expected magic mouse/keyboard drivers popups. I looked them up, Saitek CLAIMS they won't effect your regular keyboard or mouse, but many people replied and said that that's total bull, and that it can cause damage to mouse or keyboard! WHAT DO I DO???
PS- My computer is used by my whole family! HELP!!!

Just uninstall everything but the basic Saitek driver. Everything else is just a bunch of junk you don't need, and yes the SST stuff will screw up your non Saitek periferals.

Cheers

Well....

Well, at first I wasn't going to install them, and just leave everything the way it was, but then ever time you started up the computer or logged in, it would pop up and say "Would you like to install Saitek Magic Mouse Device?"
Me, and the rest of my family got tired of it, so I just installed them. Joystick mouse works, regular mouse works. End of story. Actually, the joystick mouse is quite nice and works well. :)

This is one of the reasons I trashed my Saitek stuff, X45, Eclipse keyboard etc....
That software borked a lot of stuff including my USB ports. And made it impossible for me to even hook up another keyboard at one time when i needed to boot into safe mode, couldn't do it with the Eclipse unless Windows was loaded.

Yea Saitek really has quite a few problems with their drivers. But now I'm all Logitech and Cougar.
