AGP is not dead, a lot of people use it, and you could still buy a brand new PCI card for your Dell that has no AGP port. ;D

Hi Cheese....;D...!

It's always nice to know that our old PCI/AGP GPU cards are still useable...
...and that the spelling on Sim V is far (perhaps...::)...?) superior to some other unmentionable sites...>>>>

Pros: Worked grate out of the box, as it should. Baught this card to hold me over until I get my new C2D system built. I have been running an FX 5500 on a 2.6 cele Dell 2400, and I tell you this ATI card, for a PCI bus type is twice as fast as my old card!! I am able to run Oblivion with medium to high settings with playable fps! I am very pleased! And Newegg is the best online retailer that I have had the pleasure of doing business with! Thanks Newegg for the supper fast shipping!!

Hi Mees.... ;D...!

I don't know....it all depends upon how much speed is required by the Processor compared to the GPU....?

My Socket A AMD 2600+ runs at a speedy 2.1 GHz, and I'm not sure that a more up-to-date, (and CHEAP!), processor would fare any better...?

A new AGP 256/512Mb GPU would slot straight into my present Motherboard and not involve any more expense....;D...!

Paul.....I hate more expense...>:(... ;)... ;D...!

P.S. Spec below, except that System memory is now 2.3 Gb...(Profile will not up-date.... >:(...)...!
