Do you think if I..?

Postby alrot » Sun Oct 29, 2006 10:26 am

I got a problem, I heard that also many people does
I've seen people complaint about the not transpararancy inside of the VC of all FSX planes, instead it covers totally the outside view as the glass from the outside doesn't show

I heard If I change the drivers should solve the issues,I just got the DEMO trial version ,I wish to buy this game but not until I fix the "transparacy"incompatibility Graphic

I have search a new driver (perhaps looking for a miracle) I got an Nvidia Geforce 4 128 mb ,There are many but wich one?

I would be eternaly in Grattitude for the one who can help me About this, bacause i've seen that older card has been fixed with this issue..

Thank you

Alex

What video card do you have?

GF4 128mb is too vague a description, perhaps it's a GF4 MX400 ? Or maybe a GF4 TI4200 ? MX440, MX460 ?
or a TI4400 or a TI4600 or .............................

In any event, a GF4 is too old a card to be running FSX properly and you will probably have some driver issues due to the old status of your video card. All the newer drivers are not really specifically designed for GF4 cards.

Try a driver called 53.06

I wouldn't update the drivers on such an old card. It might fix the problem in question but it could also cause several others. Thats what seems to happen in my experience.

That's because you don't have a DirectX 9 compatible video card. It doesn't matter what driver version you have, the card is not DirectX 9 compatible, and you will always have the VC problem.

BTW I had a system with a Geforce 4 MX and I thought it was way too slow for FS9. I got no idea how you can run FSX.

It does, bearly like 13-15fmps,and It takes like 4 minutes to load the Game(demo version) ,But FS9 runs ok,never had any complaint ,maybe some add-on planes but the planes I did with Vc runs ok.

Of course I need to buy a new computer, but from now just saving.for it

Alex

EDIT:Woa!!! hold on a minute, you said having trouble with fs9 , listen I used to had the first generation of P4 of 1.4 socket 420 having my old P3 socket 370, I was very fustrated by that P4 with this video Card we are talking about, That was the worth thing ,It wasn't able to run even fs2002 ,Fortualy I found a victim and I sold it to him(he insist), I'm using a p3 800mgz ,is not the best for fs9 but i can do well enough running the game at 16bits (with 32bit it will be 15fps) so try to set it up something like 16bit 1024x768 I even use 3d clouds and its ok 20frps, My point is tha those P4 were useless Intel made the most awful mistake by release this bad prossesors (socket420) that use memorys name Rimms(weirds)(I can't remember the name that was a long time ago)
