Heatsink

Postby Viper22 » Wed Oct 04, 2006 7:24 pm

I'm building the new computer I ordered last week, which is my first one, and I'm having trouble installing the stock heatsink which came with my E6600.  I can only get 3 of the pins attached to the motherboard, but the last one can't seem to fit in.  I'm wondering if I should apply more force to the motherboard, because I don't want to risk damage.  thanks

Buy a zalman, stock ones arent that great anyways, I have a 40 dollar zalman sitting on my floor (Motherboard didnt have the holes for it) But nows the time to get a GOOD heatsink.... because changing at a later date sucks! Cheers, Gunny

Actually, I think I got it in.  I read somewhere else that the core 2 duo sinks are tricky, and that once you here it click just leave it alone.
