Use software to underclock the card and see if that helps.

If it does, then you probably have a common problem of users of that particular card genre. Artifacting and other issues related to the 7900GT series requires users to underclock to avoid problems in some cases or at least until a solution is found.

I'm realling hoping my new eVGA 7900GT KO won't have those problems when it comes (along with my new comp), if it does I am going to have to rma it.

So my super duper motherboard includes this simple to use clocking feature, These are the default settings, i have played with them a little the the memory clock affects my CPU the most, and the other two seem to change my video card, do i want to chane the memory clock or the core clock? Or do you guys have a better method.

Dont use that. Use Rivatuner, its the best nVidia clocking tool. Then use ATiTool to scan for artifacts, BUT DO NOT USE IT TO CLOCK.

Whatever software you use, drop both gpu and memory speed about 20% if you can, that should stop any glitches if they are related to the common 7900GT/X problem.

If you still have the glitching after that, it might be something else, software/driver related for example.

looks like that could be a driver problem, my 6200 did that, Because I wasnt uninstalling the nvidia drivers via the Add/remove programs menus I was running 2 totally different driver sets, or sometimes no drivers at all.... I feel like an idiot for doing that, I lost 3 months of FS because of my stupidity on that then my joystick broke when I fixed it  ::) I reccon uninstall the drivers, install latest ones, try again..... Cheers, Gunny

If the card is in warranty, I would test it, it may need to be RMA'd as suggested above.

Let us know when you change drivers, then see what happens? Cheers, Gunny

EDIT: or just RMA it and get a new one.....
