Terrible video card. Doesn't beat a 6600GT. Get a 7600GT instead.

You guys have it good in the US. $144.50 for a 7600GT, with rebate $114.50. In Canada they charge us $200 CND minimum.

;D ;D ;D ;D

Come on down and live here a year then tell us we have it good ;)
Here in TN that $144 card after tax, state tax, city tax and this god awefull newer "entertainment" tax will easily reach the $200 USD rate. Rebates are not what they are praised to be becasue you pay tax on the rebate before you get it, making the actuall value of the rebate a lot less than advertised.

In the end our cost is not much different than yours.

We get 14% tax, 7% province, 6% federal. Well, at least we get free health care from that tax.

The only way you get free health care here is if your lazy and won't work or do crack ;D

I wouldn't never bitch about taxes if it was used for something like free health care for all, but very few here get it and most of those that do don't deserve it. You should have seen the uproar when they decided to get rid of TennCare.
All those losers complaining about not having it anymore, oh well having all them kids won't pay off after all, LOL!! Now get off your ass and work like the rest of us!

Sorry off topic and going on a rant

Only $144 for a 7600? I've been so busy fixing generic Dell desktops I've lost track of prices of the good stuff ::)

I'm gonna have to get me one of those.

7900GS was released recently for about $200.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLi ... x=0&Go.y=0

It has 8 more pipes than the 7600GT and 256 bit memory interface. My next upgrade will be video and I don't want to go lower than 7900GS. ;D
