Help with Saitek X45 throttle!!

Postby wcb2006 » Tue Jun 27, 2006 8:26 am

Hello All...

Newbie here...

I recently added an X45 stick and throttle combo to my FS2004 game and I cannot get the throttle to match up with the game.  I.E. When the throttle is moved to it's limit it still does not bring up 100% thrust, more like 85%.  I've tried recalibrating using the software provided, and I've tried to contact support at Saitek.

I have made a hot key for max thrust, but it only lasts for a second before returning to 85%

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, as I'm stuck.

In FS9:
Alt>Controls> Sensitivities

Scroll down to throttle and push that slider to max. That ought to do it.

Does this happen with every plane? It could be a mixture, fuel boost or cowl flap setting issue within the model itself.

Also, I've noticed many models in FS9 just won't develop full thrust from a dead stop, but once you reach a certain speed in cruise, you can redline it. It's weird.
Good luck, and hang in there- my X45 gave me fits when I first installed it, but it's been rock-steady for about 2 years now. Love it!!
