Reformat partition "C" & registry issue

Postby luke » Thu Jun 22, 2006 2:43 pm

I read a lot about reformating & reinstalling windows in partn C, and reloading all programs to get them in the new windows registry.

I had to reformat partition C and reinstall XP pro, on our older PC, and was surprised to see that fs9 (in partition F), is working without reintalling it.

Is that normal ?

Yet MSOffice in "D" had to be reinstalled.         luke

Microsoft office relies on certain entries being in the registry for it to work. Flight Sim on the other hand does not...I guess

I had this happen before too with a few programs.
