New lappy.

Okay, so the summer is here, and now I can work more houres, which = more pay. Along with that, I will have enough cash to get a new laptop. I'm looking for something like this

HP dv8000t
Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83Ghz
2GB DDR2
nVidia Go 7600GS
100GB 7200RPM
802.11a/b/g + Bluetooth

This little package should cost me around $1700

Thoughts?

Cheers

I bought my wife the HP 8215 and we really like it.

It is heavy as heck and has to be plugged in if you run it more than 30 minutes.

The pros more than outweigh the cons though.

Good to know, not going to get that one then. See I need something I can take on the road. So mabe the dv5000t is going to be a better buy. I'll have to skimp on the GPU a bit, but I need battery life more than gaming.

My wife uses hers from the recliner and it is great for that, but when I buy one for myself I am also going to go for something a little lighter and a lot more portable.
