Saitek X52 issue

Have you got the most up to date drivers ...... I had that issue with my X52 .... untill the latest drivers. I used to unplug the lead from the joystick and plug it back in to make it work, whilst it was powered up.

If that doesn't work you may have a bad stick.
A buddy if mine had the same issue and couldn't resolve it, he contacted Saitek and they had him send it back, problem was due to a memory chip inside the stick. There was a whole batch that was faulty, hopefully yours isn't.

mine dose that just make shoure all of your connections are tight exp the cord from the joy to the throttle i dont want to be a captin obvious but thats what happend to me so check that out.

ok mine flickerd so i was just making shoure. and when i ask people for a soultion I eliminate the obvious stuf by telling people what i have done already.

Try re-installing again...but leave out one option, Magic Mouse for example.

See if it does the same thing.

If it does try again with a different option left out...

Repeat until you know which function is the problem.

Time consuming, but you may find the option causing the problem is something you don't use. At the very least you will know precisely what the problem is. That should make getting help over at the Saitek Forums a whole lot easier.

I have disabled the Magic Mouse ..... I have an early X52 which was shipped with a slight miss alignment of the magnets used to control the Magic Mouse, which caused my cursor to disappear to the top right corner of my screen. I could have sent the unit back for repair (but didn't have a stick to use in the mean time)....... but after speaking to a Saitek engineer who advised disabling the function that's what I did. You don't really need it.

Sounds like the exact same issue my friend was having.
Does your LCD thingy on that get goofy? (sorry don't know how else to explain it)

I would recommend contacting Saitek it sounds as if you may have one of the bad batch .

You may try to uninstall all the Saitek software, make sure you get rid of any program files and the like.

Then to reinstall plug in the stick, insert the CD but don't let it autorun cancel the install.

You should get the Windows New Hardware wizard, if so install the drivers from there, Windows should find them on the CD if not direct it to the drive the CD is in.

This should install only the drivers needed for the stick.

If you don't get the Wizard use Device Manager, locate your stick and updat the drivers there.

Now doing this may prevent you from using any of the programming software, I don't know but may be worth a try .

This is the process I use to install my printer drivers without all the fluff HP would install via the CD.

If this procedure works you should be able to explore the software CD, and find .exe files to install only the features you want there. (in other words don't allow the CD to autorun)
