Desperate Times Call For Desperate Help

Postby Hai Perso Coyone? » Wed Feb 01, 2006 3:33 pm

Right cal lme stupid...but I am desperate...as you all know I have PSU problem....the thing is underpowered for my 6800GT....250W or less....still waiting for a new one though....here's the really stupid question....I have an integrated chip on my computer....something like Intel Extreme Graphics 2....I think that has been disabled when my 6800GT was installed....is it possible to maybe revert to that other integrated chip to play my games and all the crap for the time being? Is it too much of a PITA? Oh, and can I still leave my card plugged into the AGP port? If it's not possible or too complicated, just let me know and I'll drop the idea....I want to know this because I really want to play Need for Speed Most Wanted which I just recently acquired.....Help is appreciated...
Cheers all,
Ashar ;)

Ya you can do this and its not really a PITA just enable your onboard in your BIOS. Be warned though that NFSMW may not play at all on intagraded.

BTW nice choice on game. I stood in line for 4 houres the day it came out trying to get it. Best $45 I ever spent great game. Use the GTI

Gunny it wasnt the PSU that fried the card ;)

Anyway just make sure you switch the BIOS
