FPS rates. How do I check?

Postby bbstackerf » Fri Dec 30, 2005 8:06 pm

I notice a lot of guys posting what kind of FPS they're getting on thier systems. How do I check that out on my system? Is there a program I need to download?

Thanks

Keni ;)

GunnerMan may well be right, but I thought it was either Shift-Z or Ctrl-Z... can't remember which.

Otherwise, download Fraps and use that to monitor your FPS.

I'm pretty sure its shift & Z btw.  ??? :-[ ;)

Shift + Z twice. Shift + Z twice again to turn it off.

Best yet go out and get 3DMark05. Then you will know the true power of your system.

Thanks for the info, all. I'll have to check that out and see what I'm getting. I have a newer card but it's lower end. There's probably things I can do to get better rates too. I know I can close some in the program manager, but I'm always scared I'll close something I shouldn't. Plus I need read up on the card and see what I can change as far as settings. I have a 250 gig hard driver so I was thinking of having a partitioned drive dedicated to FS only. I'll let you know what I come up with.

Thanks to you all once again.
