SOunds like a frightfully powerful computer now, but I may say by July it just about average. ;) 7 months is a long time in the IT world. I want a latop for uni, but won't buy it until August next year - as it will be so old by then. PLus by July next year Mees hopefully Windows Vista will be out and maybe even FS10. ;)

Well sounds nice, but 4Gigs??? :o and what board is all this going on? In what case, and under what PSU? Think about that?

Seriously dude... do some resurch.

want a good pc?

AMD Athlon 64x2 4000+
DFI LanParty SLi MOBO
Corsair XMS 2G or OCZ Gold 2G
BFG Tech or EVGA or ASUS nVidia 7800GT 256MB  x2 in SLi
300GB WD Caviar SATA Drive
Creative Sound Blaster Audology Gamer 2 ZX 7.1 sound
Thermatake Tsunami, or Lian Li PC70 case
Hiper Type R 580Watt PSI
Lite On DVD+/-RW
Windows XP Home

Now by todays standirds and price thats a $2600 top of the line system, but by july with Vista and the new core from intel comeing out + hopes of a new socket from AMD, and of course new graphics comeing out every two or three months, thatll be a mainstream gameing rig with a price around $1500. Now that price looks pretty, but your not going to have top of the line like you want.

But before you venture further read up on your parts, and dont go for the biggest core clocks, and biggest titles. Go with what works.

Sorry to yell and nag.....
Cheers

If you are looking to build a puter for FS-9 your proposed components will be more than adequate.

But as someone else mentioned, 6 months is a long time and new components are introduced daily.

It will be interesting to see what is available when you do decide to build.
Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe
Intel I7 3770K w/ Corsair H100
Thermaltake Level 10 GT
