Nvidia drivers

Postby luke » Mon Oct 03, 2005 5:13 am

I am still trying to solve the split screen I get in fs9 with fsNavigator.

It is not the VFR scenery the cause, but probably the Nvidia drivers, as somebody else discribed similar snag with the drivers the culprit. He has not solved it yet.

He said:-
"...........The main problem I am experiencing with the latest 7 series drivers is a split screen in some instances, particularly when I open a second window, very annoying, as all the screen below the window freezes, but the simulator keeps running in the part of the screen above the window. Makes using the FMC etc for approaches rather difficult!..............."

Did I see here "VIVO" drivers mentioned, or any other compatible ones to try?

VIVO stands for video in video out. Its just means your card can output HD and S-video and can also take it in via a special connector (its not the DVI port) usually in the center of the card face plate. Downloading drivers with VIVO support would not help you. All it would do is add VIVO support if your card supports VIVO.

Hi there sounds like a similar problem I had. When I
run FS on a dualscreen setup and i undock and shift a window (gps for example) on my second screen the
primary screen somehow gets "cut" below the window
on the second monitor.
If this is your problem you can solve it by installing
and older forceware driver from this site.

ftp://download.nvidia.com/Windows/

I had this problem with 77 and 78. with forceware 71
and below it should be solved. (Haven
