Can someone tell me what lightscribe is?

Its an option available in newer DVD/CD drives that allows you to print monotone (black and white) images onto cd/dvd's.

Both the cd/dvd burner and the disc must be lightscribe compatible. The disc can only be printed on once and the image quality is actually quite decent.

Thanks Autopilot, I hadn't heard of it befor. My next question is what is "RAID"? A computer bug killer comes to mind.   ;D

The reason for all these questions is that I am going to get a new computer on Monday.

That when you configure multiple drives (usually SATA) to act as one.  You can mirror drives (they just back each other up), stripe them (just combine them to make one big drive) or select from a whole myriad of other RAID configurations.  I'm on a 500GB Stripe RAID right now. 8)
