I would not buy the X600 PCI card.
The PCI slot doesn't carry enough information to the system to be able to reach or sustain modern, high performance graphics standards.
In a nutshell, you have to change your motherboard for one with a dedicated graphics slot such as AGP or PCIe.
Don't run away, it's no big deal really. Just buy one and have it fitted. It's the perfect excuse for an upgrade
