Well, my choice would be the 6800 GT or Ultra, even my LE clocked to 16 pipes seems pretty good!
Out of yours:

1.  Sparkle GeForce PCX6600 GT 128MB DDR3 TV-Out/DVI

The best one in the list is the 6600GT. That beats the rest by far. However, you say you want excellent frames so you're probably gonna have to go for something like the X800 XT or 6800 Ultra (or GT).

Yes the 6600GT hands down in that list, make shure to get the right form factor I.E AGP/PCI-E. If you want best of the best you will need to spend more money...

Thanks guys, I went visted the shop and was goin to get the GT (over my initial budget), but in true fashion because of the price they had sold out so i went for the Saphire ATI 9600XT.

Give it a couple of months and i'll get the GT!

Anyway thanks guys!

Yeah, ok, if watching benchmarks are your thing.

Now play hl2:
http://firingsquad.com/hardware/half_life_2_fx/default.asp
Its a long read, but suffice it to say that the geforcefx can't perform.

Same thing with Flight simulator:

Nvidia's old generation fo cards was horrible. Its current generation of cards have the upper edge and its why you should get a 6600gt.

I think that Flightsim chart you quoted shows the GF FX5900's are performing admirably in that "benchmark".
Especially considering how "old" they are. Remember, not long ago they were a hot item in a desperate market for good graphics, and were at or near the top of the technology of the time. (not only that, I still have one in my system and it does display well enough to play and win current online 3D games at high graphics settings and heavy gaming loads.)

Saying that, yes, it will be replaced in the near future by something newer, but it's certainly been a treat in my PC   :D

The thing that prompted me to comment on this was the reference to the Radeon 9600XT card and it's place in the scheme of things.

I still see a few 9600XT's on offer in online stores. These should NOT be confused with the Excellent Radeon 9800XT card, which is still a very nice graphics card. You don't see 9800XT's on the market any more, and they are effectively replaced by the better NV 6800 series, errrr...... maybe.

Just go back to the FS9 benchmark link you posted and look at the results..... No wonder the 9800XT vanished! Otherwise how would they sell the new cards? What gives?    :P

Now, I realise that FS9 is not the be all and end all of performance apps, and that the new cards are probably superior to the 9800XT in many ways, but, the new cards are not the be all and end all either, and could easily be compared to the FX series in the not too distant future.   ;)

I replaced my 6600GT with a 6800LE after the GT's fan fell off (!)

The 6800LE is a great card, and it certainly can cut the mustard with FS9 or, anything else I've tried!

1600x1200 with FSAA and high settings is a happy setting for my pc these days!  :D

Considering the
