Yet Another Joystick Issue

Postby RoSPA_David » Tue Jan 04, 2005 1:43 pm

Hi everyone.  I was wondering if anybody had experienced these problems with their sticks or could offer some advise.

I have a logitech attack 3 and am having to recalibrate all the time.

I seem to be finding that the plane wants to turn right all the time. Or, if not that, then there is very little reactions to one particular side.

When i taxi, i also find the problems that the nose wheel wants to turn without any imput.

Any suggestions would be helpfull.

ps, i really don`t know nor understand how to use the advanced settings in fs9 regarding null zones and such.

Thanks
David

Have you tried calibrating it?

Go to control panel then Game Controllers.  Highlight your joystick, hit properties then choose to calibrate it, see if that helps.

Thanks gixer, i know im limited in my knowlege but not that much mate.  ;)

It seems to change to often, i would calibrate it,  go to fly, and then as i taxi the n/w wonders.

I read that u stear by using the rudders? never done that. Infact my rudder will only turn to the right when i hit "enter" if i hit "0" it changes the view!

David, sorry to tell you but Logitech should have never tried making joysticks. Get a Sidewinder, it's great. Poor you, I've been stuck with a wingman before too.

I did love my sidewinder.  Then it bust  :'( and M$ dont make em anymore  :'(

Ended up with a Saitek which is ok, but I did really like the M$ Sidewinders, they were great.

I too had a logitech once.  Came free with a PC I brought many many years ago.  It only lasted a few months before it went in the bin.
