Removing corrupted files...

Postby Wing Nut » Fri Oct 08, 2004 6:39 pm

Well, one of my scenery has become corrupted and Windows will not let me delete it or move it.

What does Windows tell you when you try to remove the file? Is it telling you that the file is in use by another program?
If so try rebooting then go and remove the file.

Hi Jeff...!

Very good tip.
Often if you have a program sitting in your toolbar at the bottom of the screen and you try to delete, etc, a file associated with it you will get the message..."File in use by another program"

..as Jeff says....re-boot first...!

Cheers all...!

I finally got rid of it after I had unplugged the computer to install a new fan.  I had a sneaking suspicion my old one wasn't cooling enough for the confined space it was in, and put another in.  When I fired it back up, it let me delete it fine...  ::)
