M$ Sidewinder gamepad bindings

I fly with a Saitek Cyborg, but I ahve managed to persuade Win 98 to let me have that and an old Pad connected. I can use both in the sim, but is there a way to set FS2002 Pro up to support the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, KEYBOARD keys to use on the ATC popup? I don't know how.
