Good topic!  I wish I could help but I have similar questions.  I went out the other day and none of the stores I went to had any rudder pedals.

How many people out there use them?

What brands do you recommend?  Where can I find them?

I have a Saitek X45 HOTAS (Hands On Throttle and Stick).  It's a Joystick and throttle. It has a teeter-totter rudder on the throttle handle. I don't like that.

I also have CH Products Flight Yoke PC & LE in addition to their Pro Pedals. The pedals not oly move fore/back but they rock up and down for toe brakes which is great for racing games. They come with little stoppers to prevent fore/back motion while racing.

If you're looking for more realistic Yokes and Rudders check out http://www.flypfc.com/.

They both will work perfectly, until you open windows.
