Joystick problems

Postby welly » Sun Jun 13, 2004 2:24 pm

Hi Guys

I've just upgraded from an old Windows 95 computer, to a Toshiba laptop running XP. Managed to get MSFS98 up and running no problem but my joystick a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro with serial connector won't fit the USB on the laptop. Any suggestions? Is there an adaptor available or will I have to buy a new joystick, and if so whats the best one for the job?

Cheers
John

I had an MS Force Feedback Pro. Coud"nt get it to work with FS2002 after upgrading from Win98SE to WinXP although it worked with other MS flight sims including CFS3. I believe there is an adapter from serial to USB. If you decide to get a new joystick, I'd recommend MS Force Feedback 2.

Good luck
