Given the funds, what would you ultimate PC specs be? Would you have a multi CPU machine?

With unlimited funds I build a big super computer like the ones NASA uses. As for PC, I'd go for the following.

Dual AMD Athlon64 FX-51s
8GB high speed DDR ram (some Macs go up to 8gb now)
Many HDD as I could fit.
Geforce 6800 PCI Express 16X 256mb DDR3
600W PS
Liquid cooling
Bug Eye surround screens like the one they're always advertising at Avsim.
[center]I only pretend to know what I'm talking about. Heck, that's what lawyers, car mechanics, and IT professionals do everyday. ;)
The Rig:
AMD Athlon XP2000+ Palomino, ECS K7S5A 3.1, 1GB PC2700 DDR, Geforce FX5200 128mb, SB Live P

Dual AMD Opteron 64-bit 8151 @3.0GHz 1Mb (Cooled with cold water, 2-way version)
8GB DDR400 RAM (Dual Channel)
ATi Radeon X800XT PE (PCIe) (256/512Mb RAM, whichever one comes out)
520W Antec Truepower
21" Flat Panel
Dual 150GB 1500rpm SCSI HDD

Not even the 3.2GHz 4Mb L3 cache Zeon can keep up with the Opteron.
8GB of RAM is possible because the processor is 64-bit so will handle more than 4GB, and the best AMD Opteron motherboards have 4 slots for each processor, put 1GB DDR400 modules in each of these....

Nvidia are not releasing the 6800UEE, it was not feasible because of a lot of power issues etc.  So Nvidia have no rival to the X800XT PE
