Hi Folks,

Can you please give me some feedback on what are the best drivers for this card for use with CFS3 and FS9

Go here:

Win XP 53.06 ....... it doesn't score best in the benchmarks, but it gives good Frame Rates in FS2004.  ;)

Thanks Congo...I just installed the 5664 drivers...no appreciable difference although I get good framerates (abot 50 in FS9 and up to 65 in CFS3)...I am getting a weird surf texture in FS9...the surf rolls in in white 2D blocks..everything else seems ok...tried some changes to 'display' to no avail....any suggestions?

If the glitch happened after installing the new driver, go get a different one. Try turning off anisotropic filtering as a test.

Are the water textures an addon? Or game default? Did you add a framerate tweak texture file?

Re-install the game, or rename the one you have now, and install a new game and see if the new one works. If not, you can delete the new game and rename your old one back. There are a couple of locations on c: that have other fs9 files in them, so save those too if you want your saved flights and FS9.cfg file backed up.

Hmmm. I'll bet there could even be a fs9.cfg fix, but only if nothing is actually corrupted.

I have actually seen the wave blocking as you describe, but I think it was just a graphic setting, like anisotropic filtering set too high, not sure.
