Up grade form 1.3 to 1.9 worth it?

Postby jfg123 » Wed Jan 14, 2004 7:46 am

To whom it may concern to help me,

To run the MS FS 2004 I have updated my computer by putting in a 128 MB Viedo Card and also upgraded it with newer drivers for sound and so on.
My problem it that on the high intesity grapic games like Fs 2004 from time to time I still get a frozen picture. So I was wondering since my old mother board PC Chips 810R will take a max of 1.9 AMD processors to repalce my 1.3 gig is it worth it to update?

Depends on whether you have the money to spare or not...:-) I would think that it would help some, but not a ton...for example I just upgraded my whole system, from XP1800, to XP3000+ with only a 15 FPS increase...

;) good luck!

Daz, your eyes do register a difference over 20! You just try setting your FPS max to 25 (25 is real time), that would make a huge difference. I can't believe you set your FPS that low! Thats like having a racehorse and never doing anything above trot! At least while it can, let it stretch its legs!
