Graphics Card Temp

Postby RAMPRAT » Tue Jun 18, 2013 3:57 pm

Will having your settings maxed out cause your graphics card temp to rise. I have my FPS set to unlimited and all other settings on ultra high except traffic. Have airline set to 80% general aviation at 35% ground traffic at 50%. Cars, boats, ferries etc at 50 to 70%. GPU temps read 100-104 F. Will backing off on the settings lower my temps? Using a AMD 7890 W/2GB dedicated memory card.

No. You're fine, no problems.

You're actually running lower than my HD6850.

I needed to convert 104f to c = 40C.

OldAirMail is right, that is not in anyway alarming. Some oc'ers run their gpu's at 80C, but then lifetime will reduce...
Just you keep on going ;)

Thanks loads. All other temps i.e. cpu, mobo etc running in the mid to high 20c range. Running Razor game booster program with FSX which keeps track of temps. Also have multiple fans and liquid cooling for cpu. Thanks again....

A program that I found for another person is relevant here too.

"If you haven't found a program to check out your system, let me suggest HWMonitor from CPUID. It beats the hell out of what I was using."
