Not worried, but thanks.

My computer has already been updated with no problems.

"The problem seems to revolve around Kaspersky security and the new update ...."

"Kaspersky Lab apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused our customers, ...."

I see no reason why Kaspersky Labs should apologize unless they took some shortcuts that they shouldn't have.

Perhaps Kaspersky Labs isn't all that big compared to some companies, but I would have thought that MS would have tested their update against a few systems that used the Kaspersky antivirus program.

Backups, anyone? I usually use an old HDD plus a very cheap ($15 at the time) Vantec CB-SATA/IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter to make backups. No frills, but works GREAT!

BTW, I used this, along with Clonezilla, to move Windows 7 64bit Pro to an SSD last year. Not a single hiccup.
