Hi all,

Another annoucement by Asobo ! This time it's about a payware expansion pack that covers the famous Reno Air Races. It will be available from the 18th of November 2021.

If I understood correctly, this pack will have two versions:
- a complete pack around 60 dollars
- a light pack around 20 dollars

The Reno Air Races expansion brings four new kinds of aircraft:
- North American P-51 Mustang
- North American T-6 Texan
- Aero L-39 Albatros
- Aviat Pitts Special S1S

In the "light" pack, you only get one variation of each plane.
In the complete pack, you get several variations of each plane. It is important to note that each variation has it's own model, both for exterior and interior. The P-51 for example, comes both as P-51d AND P-51a. The video embedded in the announcement shows a great variation of the cockpit styles, which is not just about the color but really about the cockpit layout, gauges, systems etc...
The price of that pack is a bit steep for me though, but the variations of the Mustangs and the Albatros (both in touch screen or steam gauges) are reaaaally tempting...

It seems that some of those aircraft have been developed by A2A, can anyone confirm?

A2A was involved in the modeling of two virtual cockpits only.
They didn't do anything about flight models, gauges or systems. Just some 3D models for two virtual cockpits, which means a purely cosmetic job. I was a bit disappointed when I read that :/
