VFR Toronto - Real and Simulated Flight Comparison - 4K

Postby Doering » Wed Dec 02, 2020 4:40 pm

A visual comparison of Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) with a real world flight over downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Video recorded with the belly camera on the TBM 930 in the sim. GoPro (Hero 9) camera mounted to the upper wing of my Van's RV-9A plane. Both videos recorded at 2,500' ASL and flying at 135 -140 knots following a ForeFlight flight plan.

Very nice comparison and it really shows how good FS2020 graphics are on a capable computer setup. Thanks for showing it to us.
I have flown my friends RV-9A and I can see why its popular world-wide. It flies extremely stable but then it is also very quick and maneuverable when you want it to be. Turning off base to final for landing was so stable that I think its one of the very best handling airplanes that I have ever flown. If you fly one.........you want one.

Same thing with an A320...Apparently according to a lot of people here the flight dynamics and graphics are no good and it is really only a game

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Thanks for watching guys! Yes, really love the RV9A. Very easy to fly, responsive and it sips fuel 7-8 gph.
