crazy flight handling?

Postby striker » Wed Oct 21, 2020 12:47 pm

I don't get it. I watch videos on youtube and they all seem to be smooth flying. Mine is just insane. Fluttering all over the place and wings swaying 45 degrees to and fro all the time. Almost impossible to land ad even in calm conditions the planes handle like I'm in a massive storm. I'm lucky to get off the ground without crashing immediately.

Am I alone?

Might be worth checking which flight mode you are set to in the settings.

I had the same issues & swapped from Legacy to Modern, everything is a lot less hectic now!

What are you running the sim with, what are you using to control with, what are your settings?

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

You have been flying for years so it's not YOU. It's probably stutters due to low frame rate. You can't 'control' anything at 10 fps. Too many 'gaps' and you wind up over correcting trying to 'catch up' but to no avail. Let us know what your frame rate is. Anything around 30 fps should be good. Even 25 fps. But variation from 25 to 10 and back to 25 won't do. You need a steady frame rate. Perhaps lower the settings a bit at a time until you achieve some stable frame rate. Then go fromt there.

Windows 10 is notorious for doing updates in the background. Also it installs a lot of bloatware. Programs you won't ever use but rob you of CPU cycles to where your frame rate is just not enough for smooth flying. There is a free program called 'windows10debloater' (github/sycner) that will un-install the bloatware. Good luck.
