2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

And there is no 2020 in the name.
It's officially called Microsoft Flight Simulator or MSFS.

FS2020 is the official shortcut name for Aerofly FS2020

The problem is, there are so many version of FS, that if you search for flight simulator, you get hits for everything. The community is differentiating to give this sim its own identity. FS2020 is here to stay.

Yes exactly. I think they thought a new generation of people who have not heard of it will not be aware of the fact that 'Microsoft Flight Simulator' has always been what the series is essentially called - be it FS1, FS2, FS2000, FS98, FS2004, FSX, etc

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft ... _Simulator

I have caps and shirts sent to me by Microsoft way back in the early 2000's with 'Microsoft Flight Simulator' on them >> with basically the same logo. (those days MS cared about community websites :D :D )

I'm just saying what the Microsoft Flight Simulation Team are calling it, MSFS & the Aerosoft Team (who do the DVD's, have emphasised that there is no 2020 in the title. Well, they should know, I suppose.
Yes, there are some that have made up their own short names, such as FS20, which is also a short name for Farm Simulation 20, so, it is confusing for the newbie that has no idea. Flight simmers, by now, should know the difference between FS9, FSX & MSFS.
Bu hey, I'm just the messenger.
LOL, as we all know, tyhe new sim is, or wll be updated on a regular basis, so next year, will the sim be known as flight simulator 2021 to differentiate between the original & the updated version?

I hear what you are saying, but the problem is that search engines don't know the difference and for Flight Simulation sites to get their sites seen in the top listing, they are putting in the 2020 tag as are searchers themselves. If you type Flight Simulation, the majority of the hits are for FSX. It will get better as extras and (hopefully) freeware comes out, but by then I am guessing that the 2020 tag will have stuck....just like we refer to all vacuum cleaners is a Hoover....

I read out the question to my point of view no matter which version people choose, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is incredibly realistic in the way it pulls from the real-world in real time. It's these features that make Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 a breathtaking experience. I don't think so I'm right but its just a suggestion ,thank you!!

Just a reminder. There was a flight simulator before Microsoft took it over. Not very good, but workable...
