It's usually done by tweaking the spoiler entries in the AIR file. Basically, you hit the spoiler key & the plane falls out of the sky. The values depend on the aircraft.

There's an auto-spoiler gauge posted somewhere that triggers the spoiler/tailhook automatically when your wheels touch the deck. This is featured on some 3rd party CFS1 panels.

The Navyops site was a good place to get carrier planes that are set up for this, but I just checked and they are gone. I get: error 404: Datei nicht gefunden! My german isn't that great but the message is quite clear. Anyone know where they went? I'm sure there stuff is around somewhere but if anyone wants it, I have it all. Nice carriers and aircraft. ;)
