All My Questions (PLEASE HELP ME)

Postby tiger63 » Sun Apr 18, 2004 9:10 am

1. When I add planes to the .ini file for CFSME (K.Bedford) should I put the folder name or the display name.
2. How Do I Put Missions Together to make a Campaign?
3. Is there a way to edit the size of the bomb blast?
4. How do you edit a plane's weapons loadout?
5. Is eight the bomb limit for CFS. I've tried to edit the DP files for the B-29 (Because we all know it carried more than 8 bombs) to make it hold twenty bombs. (It holds 20,000 lbs of bombs and i guessed that the game's bombs were thousand-pounders)

Tiger. I assume this is for CFS1. It's been a while since I had anything to do with it but I'll answer your questions to the best of my ability.

1. Aircraft are generally (not always) recognised in missions by their exact folder names.

2. A campaign is simply a list of missions in the order in which they're played. Open one of the default CMG files in Notepad to find out how it's done.

3. No.

4. Read this tute. http://www.hans-egebo.dk/Tutorial/damtut.htm It should be easier with DPED. Delete the corresponding CDP file every time you edit a DP.

5. I'm not sure. You will have to experiment. The B-29 maximum bomb load varied with altitude.
Maximum internal short-range, low-altitude bomb load was 20,000 pounds. A load of 5000 pounds of bombs could be carried over a 1600-mile radius at high altitude. A load of 12,000 pounds of bombs could be carried over a 1600-mile radius at medium altitude.
